Patriotic Billboard Truck in Milwaukee for the Republican Convention

A mobile billboard is alerting Republican National Convention attendees and the people of Milwaukee to the Israel lobby’s undermining of America’s security…and about the billions of Americans’ tax dollars Congress gives to Israel. “$4.8 billion to Israel – how is that America First?”

See the video here.

The electronic billboard features video clips of decorated military veterans, Tucker Carlson and other patriotic personalities, and brings a clear message of the dangers to the United States of our current Israel First policy.

For example, in the video Col. Douglas MacGregor, a former top Pentagon official under President Trump, says, “Today, Mr. Netanyahu has far more influence and control over what happens in Washington than (P)resident Biden. Washington is firmly under the control of Israel and its supporters, to the point where support for the Israelis at this stage is effectively unconditional.”

Republican Congressman from Kentucky Thomas Massie says, “Because we’re giving Israel weapons to do what they’re doing, we’re creating a lot of people who hate us.” He says that every Congressman has an AIPAC person who tells them what to do on behalf of Israel.

Ambassador Chas Freeman, former Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, says, “America First is not a bad idea, and it should be a basic idea of our diplomacy.” But Israel’s interests take priority over US interests. Former Fox News personality Andrew Napolitano points out, “We have no treaty of alliance with Israel. Israel isn’t even a democracy.”

Conservative pastor Rick Wiles declares, “You’re not allowed to discuss the power of the Israeli lobby in America. That’s proof right there: they control America.”

USS Liberty crew members describe what it was like when Israel tried to sink their ship and killed 34 of their Shipmates.

The digital billboards direct viewers to the website IfAmericansKnew.org, an American nonprofit organization founded by former journalist and author Alison Weir.

“The US currently gives Israel over $38 million per day of our tax money at a time when many Americans are struggling to pay their bills. This makes it essential for American taxpayers to have full information on the issue.

“It’s especially important to learn about this topic now, when over 38,000 Palestinians (including 16,000 children) and about 1,200 Israelis (including 36 children) have been killed since October 6, and Gaza is experiencing a catastrophic humanitarian disaster – subsidized by our tax dollars.” About 90% of Gaza’s population have been forced from their homes. There are at least 1,000 child amputees. [for more realistic casualty counts see this].

In addition, as Col. McGregor points out, a number of false and misleading stories have been disseminated on the issue. While many of these have been retracted and debunked, most people may not have seen those reports.

Also, there is growing concern that the escalating violence could grow into a regional war that would involve the US, making it especially important for Americans to be well informed on the facts. It's important to avoid another never-ending war.

Weir, who grew up in a military family, went to the region in early 2001 as a freelance journalist. Weir explains: “I saw for myself what was going on and how poorly US media were covering it. When I returned, I founded this organization to be a non-ideological, journalistic source of information for all Americans.”

Weir further explains: “While virtually anyone and everyone speaking about the situation for Palestinians is accused of being antisemitic – even individuals who are Jewish – the fact is I have a life history of opposing all bigotry, and feel the current situation is bad for everyone.”

Weir’s book on the issue, “Against Our Better Judgment: The hidden history of how the U.S. was used to create Israel”, has sold close to 60,000 copies.
