shalom

Shalom

Hebrew: שָׁלוֹם (Shalom) — peace, completeness, soundness, well-being

Key Scriptures (hover for pop-up): Genesis 43:27; Exodus 4:18; Judges 19:20; Joshua 9:15; 1 Kings 5:12; Psalm 73:3, 85:10; Isaiah 48:18, 22, 57:19-21

Note: Shalom is used when one asks of or prays for the welfare of another; when one is in harmony or concord with another, when one seeks the good of a city or country. It may mean material prosperity or physical safety. But also it may mean spiritual well-being. Such peace is the associate of righteousness and truth, but not of wickedness. [New Bible Dictionary]
